Here's my entry for the 2013 Estings competition on E4. I didn't have as much time to work on it as I hoped so its pretty messy but it was fun to do never the less :)

Mr. Fox is asking Mr. Hare for directions. It would probably make more sense for Mr. Fox to be trying to eat Mr. Hare, but that would be much less pleasant to draw I'd imagine :P

Here's a commission I did for a family a few months ago. I worked from a few different photos and tried really hard to capture their likeness while also making it as cartoony as possible. The only struggle was the toddler in the middle. It was really hard to make him look like the photo rather than just a generic cartoon kid but we got there in the end!

A silly little dance

Little bit of animation I did for fun...TO BEGIN WITH. Unfortunately, soon after I'd finished roughing it out, the Flash file corrupted and I was no longer able to copy paste, use symbols or have sound on the file which is why the lip sync is pretty half arsed -_- Oh well, its done with now and I've learnt a lesson about saving more than one version of a file!

Here's my newest animation, an entry for the RedBull Canimation contest.
It took me a week to do and was all done in Flash.



Turns out that the competition is being judges on how popular you can make your video rather than how good it is, so it feels like it was a bit of a wasted effort. Its all good for my showreel I suppose :)

Yay film!

Finally kicking this blog off. Seems like my first film is a good place to start.

This was done in 2008 during my second year on the HND Animation course at the university of Glamorgan. Took about 4 or 5 months and was fully animated in traditional 2D with the colouring done in animo and the backgrounds coloured with Photoshop.
